Atlanta, GA, -- January 25, 2010 -- LYRASIS is pleased to announce that Arnold Hirshon, its Chief Strategist and Executive Consultant, will lead the new Library Executive Advisor Program (LEAP).

 

Drawing from extensive experience in library planning and management, Arnold Hirshon will provide executive coaching and education services geared specifically for library directors and senior managers. Services include an executive sounding board, professional education, and access to an exclusive blogging service. Topics of the program include strategic directions, organizational design and management, technology planning, financial and human resource management, and facilities design.

Hirshon formerly held positions as the Executive Director of NELINET, Inc., as Vice Provost for Information Resources at Lehigh University, and Director of Libraries at Wright State University. He has facilitated the advancement of several organizations such as Northeastern University, Tufts University, the South African Research Libraries Consortium, the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, the Maine State Library, the State University of New York Central Administration, and Tulane University.

 

Hirshon has authored numerous monographs and articles. He is also a frequent lecturer nationally and internationally on six continents on a wide range of topics, including presentations about organizational management, technology development, and innovation.
